It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Ah, finally time to start my Christmas cards.
Sometimes simple is best.
The pretty blue metallic color in the side border
does not show so well...

I'm linking it to the DeNami Challenge #14.
It's fun to have a way to get me going!
Take a look at the beautiful cards and
enjoy some DeNami inspiration!
Thanks for taking a look!

Time for some stamping!

I don't know where the time has gone!
I have finally gotten to do some fall stamping...
even though we have snow on the ground
here in Wisconsin!

The first card I did was playing
with my girlfriend's new die.
She let me play first!
It makes a beautiful tag with leaves cut out.

Then I got started on some
Thanksgiving cards!

Bottom card is an elegant, simple card with
a note card tucked into a pocket.

Now, I better get started on
Christmas cards...
seems many already have them done!

Thanks for stopping by,
it's been way too long!

Embossing

I like the way simple embossing can change a card!

It seems I'm doing more fussy cutting lately!
But these DeNami images make it so easy!

Start with some pretty paper...

I've been able to get a little time up in my room
and enjoyed some card making.
I've started making cards for our Women's group
at church since they mail out to members of our congregation
for various needs.
Thought homemade cards might be more special than
the boxed ones from the store...

Hoping your summer is as nice as ours has been lately!
It took a long time to come but now it is so nice
and not too hot!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day

Things are a bit busy here with our new addition!
Doogle is a 12 year old Skye Terrier who's family
has transferred to the Middle East.
Flown in from California he is fitting in well
with our younger Skye Terrier and Briard.

He's just so adorable!  We call him our little Grandpa
but he's full of spunk and it's so fun watching him
settle into our "family".

I have been seeing everyone doing all this beautiful fussy cutting
so I thought I'd try it for my Mom!

I like how it turned out!
But it's not something I'd make a habit of doing!
But Mom is worth it!
The dies are what really made this card, I think.

Easter Cards

Before we left for a few days of camping
(and before our snow returned to Wisconsin!)
I had a chance to make a few special
Easter Cards.

I really like the effect of embossing twice in two different colors
and then cutting and piecing areas back onto the first.

This one I used an Anna Griffin floral die
and Memory Box Phlox.
I used chalks to color the Anna floral die cut.

One more card cutting out a shape of embossed cardstock
and raising it with another
design die underneath the window.
I recycled that pretty flower sticker from
a discarded name tag!  Too pretty to throw away!

All of these were new techniques for me and
I have to say I like them!

Thanks for stopping by....

This is what we woke up to Monday morning!
Hope it's nicer where you are!

DeNami Buttons and Bows Blog Hop

Welcome to another stop on your DeNami
Buttons and Bows Blog hop!
So glad you are joining us and hope you're finding
some great inspiration and ideas!
Hopefully you came from
If not, or you just want to start at the beginning
so you get all the details of winning
some $20 gift certificates,
then just head on over to the DeNami Blog

My first card I wanted to try real buttons
just because I don't often use them.

Tying those tiny twine knots through the buttons was almost
impossible!
Now I know why I so rarely do it.
As you can see, I just had to use the DeNami
little bow and button stamps.

This didn't quite turn out like I wanted so
I made another card using the
DeNami floral swag.
I love how I could put two together
across the card.

I couldn't decide which way I liked the card turned,
so I made both!
I liked the softer look of these two cards.
I use a lot of bows on my cards
but I found it was fun also adding buttons!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to
leave a comment before you head on over to

And had to try a circle greeting
to put him inside of!

Relax....
(and inside)
God's in charge!

Thanks for stopping by.
Dreary, rainy day outside on top of the new snow
we had this week...
it's a mess now!

Penny Black Sending Hugs Challenge

blog-banner

This time of year is so much fun making love cards!
I had some beautiful Anna Griffin paper and thought the
Penny Black Floral Applique would work
together with my pretty scallop punch.
I popped a few flowers off and rather like the elegant look!

It's hard to see the glitter on the flowers but I always love
 just a bit of glitter!

Thanks for stopping by!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge--Love Letter

http://curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.com/

DeNami is sponsoring a challenge so who can resist
another chance to stamp a love letter?!

I thought this challenge had unique colors
so wanted to give it a try!
The front of the card starts with some lovely
glittered DeNami flowers.

Then opening the flap to the right
you find the note card stuck in a pocket
for that personal love note!
And opening the card to the left,
inside you find the adorable Penny Black Hedgehog
at the mail box with another glittered flower.

Not an ordinary card for that special someone who
receives something in a mail box!

Thanks for stopping by....
