DeNami Thoughtful Thank Yous Hop

It's time for the DeNami Blog Hop and it is my favorite time of year for stamping and decorating!  So, before I get out the Christmas stamps, one last chance to make some fall cards.  I thought I'd combine my thank you with a Thanksgiving card for my Mom!  Who better to thank for all she does!?  I recently took a glitter class and just loved the pumpkins we made, so I had to make some more!  I added one to my beautiful DeNami wreath with some glittered DeNami trio of dots.  There is an embossed pumpkin design under the DeNami saying.

Lifting the front card is the thank you...

And inside the card is a special reminder to live in and enjoy this moment, this day!

I am sure that you are getting some great ideas today!  You should have arrived here from Tenia Nelson and if you didn't get a chance to start at the beginning, just head on over to the DeNami Blog so you don't miss anyone.  But before you leave, be sure to leave a comment because....

DeNami is giving away TWO $20 gift certificates to their website to TWO people who comment along the hop!  You have until November 12, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize).

And now, you're off to see what  Greta Hess  has made for you! Have fun and thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Addict Challenge #6

When I saw this sketch I thought--finally I have a great chance to use an embossed greeting from a folder I bought long ago, but never used!  Why do I have so many things I buy and never use??  Do you do that too?  Anyway, for a very simple card...

Hard to tell, but the one rose is popped off and all are glittered.  Of course, there is always glitter somewhere it seems!  And that lovely ribbon I found in the $1 bin!  It needed lots of space all to itself and this card worked for that.

Inside a pocket was made to hold a little note card for writing.  I just love these DeNami roses!  Again thanks for stopping by.  I am always surprised and delighted when you come and especially when you leave a comment!

DeNami Color Challenge #11

Since we were away for all the fun of National Card making day, I feel like I've missed out on a lot of fun!  So, now that we're home from camping those beautiful Catskill Mountains, Allegheny Mountains, Adirondack Mountains and the Green Mountains in all their full color array, I'm ready to do a little stamping!

It's a little hard to see in the photo, but there is a pumpkin embossed background and the one flower is popped off with some pearl embellishments.  I loved these colors together!

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall wherever you are!

DeNami Photo Inspiration

It's funny, but as soon as I saw this photo, I knew what I wanted to do...working it out took a bit of fiddling, but I just love these DeNami roses.  I used the bouquet underneath and then added some single ones to pop off.  Then just had to use my new vine and berry stamp again!

It's a little twist to a normal fall color card, but I like it!  Thanks for stopping by.  The camper is getting packed and soon we'll be off looking for our own real fall color!  A couple of weeks in the New England area will be a great place to look!

Baby Shower

This Saturday I'm going to a baby shower for my friend's daughter.  Now our family is small and I don't really have wedding/baby/graduation stamps, so I have to be creative with what I have.  Luckily I have a few stamps from sets that always include some of these stamps I don't need.  Today I got to use them!  I thought I'd also use this in the Anything Goes DeNami Challenge!

Since I had my favorite background already out from earlier this month, I thought I'd use it again!

And this little saying was just perfect for my new DeNami scallop heart!

Ok, I better go get some actual housework done now!  Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Theme Challenge

When I bought the DeNami say: Sending you smiles across the miles, I thought it was cute but I suddenly had a great idea last night in bed thinking about a fall card.  Don't you all think about stamping in bed?!  LOL!

Anyway, I wanted tumbling leaves to sail "across the miles".  So, I did the tedious thing of using a word or two at a time and had some fun this morning.

And the beginning is actually saved for last inside the little note card...

One photo just doesn't show this card very well, but I'll still try entering in the DeNami Fall Theme Challenge.  Just too much fun is stirring these parts lately!  Don't you just love it!?  Hope you're busy entering some fun cards too!

National Stamping Month!

Ok, so this month is made just for us stampers!  Gotta love it!  And DeNami is really getting in on the fun and challenging us!  I am hoping to get a few cards done before we're off to do our fall vacation of camping!

This card I needed for a friend's Anniversary coming up.  So why not satisfy two challenges!?  That kind of makes it a three for one!  A one for three?! Hmmm...anyway

DeNami Monochromatic Color Challenge and DeNami Addict Button Challenge!

The front of the card was shortened so you see the lovely swirl and leaf pattern from the inside. The inside verse and the front verse are both popped off to add just a bit of dimension.  And I really had a hard time stopping myself from wanting to color the leaves on the front with a touch of green!

I'm not great with the camera, so the dark navy paper looks black and I can't see the glitter on the flowers, but it's there.  I do love the DeNami swirls!  Thanks for stopping by to see my work.

DeNami Sketch Challenge #13

Another Challenge to get me busy.  Love this cooler weather so I don't mind being upstairs in my stamping room!  This is a lovely sketch by Kanani, who has inspired me a lot!

Thought I'd play with one of my favorite DeNami backgrounds...

I just love these elegant swirls and flowers!  Polka dot embossed pink layer over a light green cardstock.  And as every good stamper knows, you don't throw anything away so the torn off corner was placed inside...

Added a few bigger flowers and glitter.  Thanks for stopping by!

Yellows and Oranges, oh my!

I don't usually like these colors, but I found this paper at a store earlier this spring and just had to do something with it!  My husband thought this should have been in the Bright, Bold and Beautiful Blog Hop, but I went back with my original card.

I loved the new pansy punch I had found so had to use it, even if it doesn't quite match these beautiful blossom flowers.  The ribboned panel opens to the right and then you finish opening the card to the left....

I was happy with how this turned out, even if it isn't my favorite colors!

Bright, Bold & Beautiful!

I am so excited to be included in my first-time-ever Blog Hop!  I have been having so much fun hopping along with all of you, I thought it was time I joined in the fun...so, let's go!  If you're following along you should have come from Tammy Hobbs.

The card I made brought out one of my favorite DeNami stamps, the decorative crest, which makes a very bold impression when stamped in a Calypso multicolored ink pad!

I found the border punch a few weeks ago and thought of this stamp right away--so I just had to put the two together.  Then last week I found the cute saying from Memory Box that fit the Blog Hop title, so had to add that too!  The inside is stamped with the same stamp in VersaMark for a great background and small note card to open with the message.

I know you've seen a lot of ideas, but don't forget to add your comment before you go because they are giving away TWO $20 gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until August 13, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize).

Next you'll be hopping off to Ardyth Percy-Robb.  And if for any reason you feel lost along the way, just head on back to the DeNami Blog for the complete list.  Enjoy!  And thanks for hopping!

DeNami Addict Challenge #3

Our cooler weather has enabled me to play upstairs a lot more and lately I just seem to be having so much fun with color!  When I started this card I didn't really know what I was going to do with it.  You know when you're looking for card stock and you stumble upon some old embossed card stock you forgot you even had--it just cries out to be used!  By the time I finished I realized it would fit right in with DeNami Addict Challenge #3 !

(It's hard to see, but the embossed card stock is a plaid design with an open square in the center.)

I'm just loving how the new stamps fit in with my other DeNami stamps!  This is a big learning experience just doing the blog and taking part in the wonderful challenges I've always seen!  Thanks for stopping by and seeing my work!

A bit of stamping today!

Finally it cooled down a bit so I could go UPSTAIRS to do some stamping!  I've just been wanting to play with these new stamps.  And yesterday I bought the little chickie on the swing.  Now, I love the chickies, but don't normally make a lot of cutsie cards....I'm more the flowers and elegant kind of cardmaker.  And lately I have been into butterflies!  Ohhhh, keep me away from buying any more!  (And yes, DeNami came out with the cute set of butterflies right after I made the declaration: No more butterflies!)  But this little chickie was just right for a simple card I needed for a friend...

It's hard to tell, but the tree is a die cut.  I then cut out the pink swing and a yellow chick to pop off.  That got more putsy than I thought it would!  But it added just a little pop to a very simple card.

Then another quick but pretty Thank you card...

Just like cheese sprinkled on top of most anything makes food taste better, so does glitter on my cards!  It always seems to add so much with so little!

Very thankful for a cooler night here in Wisconsin!  And for time to play in my room.  Thanks for dropping by!

Inspired by DeNami Addict Challenge

Ok...so now that I have a blog, I want to have some fun!  In case you can't tell, I really love my DeNami stamps!  I had some time to play with my new stamps. I've never made a shaped card before and decided today was the day! It actually worked!  I figured I'd just be cutting two shapes! I used the beautiful new Berry vine. (This one is going to be a quick favorite for me!)
Also I cut multiple Water Lilies and layered them. Popping off the vines and the lily.
Inside is the beautiful DeNami script of: Sending you God's Blessings.  Along with one more yellow water lily in the bottom corner.  I found a colored envelope that just about matched the yellow print I stamped the lilies out of.

Thanks for looking!  I had fun creating this card!

Quick card from scraps

I needed a quick little thank you card today so I do what most of us do...I went to my scraps and found a few things, like the flower that was already stamped, just needed some color.  Found a preprinted "Summertime" square that matched the background scrap.  Stamped "Thank you" on it.  Stamped some cute little flip flops and popped them off the card.  Added some green behind the flower and to a few of the empty dots on top and I was done!

Then,,, I had some time to play with my new DeNami stamps!

Can I get photos here?!

Well, this is the Birthday card I made for my sister.  I can't take credit for the card design as it is from Linda Bradbury of Classic Expressions.  Linda and her sister Linel taught me how to love DeNami many years ago with simple, elegant cards and they never stop amazing me with their designs!  It uses one of my older, favorite DeNami roses.

This card has a lot of special notes tucked inside.  First is the little green note card tucked into the front pocket!  Then you lift the front of the card from bottom to top for the printed verse and your signature area.  Next, you open the card from right to left.

Inside you'll find a flower stem which you take out and open for one last note!
Hope you enjoyed seeing it!

New DeNami Stamps!

I got my new DeNami stamps today and I'm excited to play with them!  I'm very new to this blogging world but the DeNami Hops have been so fun, I thought I might want to try one once....so here is where I begin!

I got the new Ornamental Centerpieces, Poinsettia Vines and the Berry Vine.  Now, I'm in no way ready to think about Christmas cards yet!  But these stamps are just so pretty and elegant that I wanted to find a way to use them even in July!

Now that I have a blog--ohhh scary!--I better see if I can figure out how to work it before I try something so formal as a Hop!
